You will be a part of a diverse, supportive, collaborative, and highly skilled Data Science team where we use data to drive innovation and insights. As a mid-level data scientist, you will excel at extracting valuable insights from big and complex data sets, asking relevant questions to arrive at the right answers, develop and maintain data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, integrate and manage data from various data sources.
• Mine and analyze large amounts of data using statistical techniques to interpret information, discover trends, develop predictive models, and provide actionable business solutions.
• Maintain databases and/or data systems.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms.
• Understand business challenges and translate them into specific data analysis problems.
• Work and communicate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business stakeholders, and business intelligence experts, to ensure the smooth integration of data and insights.

Qualifications

• A BSc, preferably an MSc, in Computer Science, Operations Research, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or similar.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data extraction, data processing, data analysis, predictive analytics, and/or applied statistics.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python
• Completed military obligations (where applicable)

Additional qualifications to be considered as an advantage:

• Experience applying machine learning concepts to challenging problems.
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries in R (e.g. tidymodels, mlr3) or in Python (e.g Scikit-learn)
• Experience in relational database systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of big data technologies/platforms (e.g. Spark, Databricks)
• Experience in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Sisense, Power BI)
• Knowledge of the Shiny web framework in R or Python

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, process, and analyze significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, both in Greek and in English
• A high degree of confidentiality and a strong work ethic
