- Assist in gathering/preparing data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Develop data models and pipelines to support research and reporting activities specific to the company's operations and performance
- Ensure the accessibility and timeliness of data while maintaining high data quality standards, including data cleansing and validation
- Automate tasks related to data collection, processing, and transformation
- Identify and resolve bugs or performance issues in data pipelines and processes
- Design and maintain final dashboards in tools like Tableau or Metabase, tailored to specific users within the company
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments, understand their data requirements and deliver solutions
- Implement data governance processes and standards specific to the company's data to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security
- Monitor and optimize data pipelines, data storage, and data processing infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
- No previous experience is required, but relevant internships or projects related to data engineering would be beneficial
- Experience in building or maintaining ETL process
- Proficient in SQL for querying/manipulating data in relational databases
- Knowledge of database architecture principles and best practices
- Proficiency in programming languages (eg. Python) for data manipulation and scripting
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Metabase, or similar for creating interactive dashboards and reports
- Strong communication skills, in English and preferably Greek
- Excellent administrative skills to document processes, maintain documentation, and track data engineering tasks
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations
