The role:

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems infrastructure for our clients. This includes servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a client-facing role.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be:

• Collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and requirements.
• Designing and implementing systems infrastructure solutions tailored to meet client objectives.
• Configuring and deploying servers, storage, networking equipment, and virtualization technologies.
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implementing security best practices to protect client systems and data from potential threats.
• Providing technical support and assistance to clients as needed.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for client systems configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Staying current with industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement improvements for clients.

Who you are:

This role calls for someone who holds the following.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
