A leading international marine insurance company backed by sound underwriting and strong reserves, are working with GRS to recruit a Claims Executive, for their Piraeus operation. The successful candidate will have significant experience handling P&I and FD&D matters at another P&I Club, Law firm or possibly a Shipowner. If you feel you have the necessary skills and industry experience, then we look forward to receiving your CV for this Piraeus Claims Executive opportunity. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To handle assigned claims in accordance with company procedures, provide advice on claims related issues and identify the need for loss prevention activity.
• To promote the relationship between the Club and existing Members for which the Claims team is responsible.
• To ensure that all electronic correspondence, whether received or sent, relating to claim files assigned to the particular individual is promptly and correctly filed in accordance with the agreed working practices and to maintain and keep updated such e-files.
• To contribute to the continuous development of company procedures and systems.
• To produce relevant articles for inclusion in Club publications.
• To support the Syndicate Underwriting objectives.
• To carry out any other duties that are within the scope of personal skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
• To attend appropriate training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills. CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Degree educated with preferably LLB or LLM in Maritime Law.
  • Significant experience handling P&I and FD&D matters at another P&I Club, Law firm or possibly a Shipowner.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will need to build up and maintain relationships with Members.
  • Attention to detail and excellent written skills.
  • Highly organised, and enthusiastic with an excellent attention to detail and prioritising individual workload.
